can't receive calls abroad

hello there, hope someone can help me,

I'm currently in Italy and i was trying to call a UK number while i'm here and the device  put automatically the call down, i've tired to switch with another phone and nothing happend, so I asked someone to call me from UK and cames up voicemail everytime i can't even call 150. I also did a top up and still nothing. I'm desperate i must do some important calls and be reachable, hope someone can help me.

Did you use that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad? EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

@oliselda   Have you restarted the device since you got there ? 

yes I did, and still nothing.

Is your phone showing signal bars of a local network?

 

Are you able to try alternative networks?

Did you use the SIM card in the UK before you got to Italy?

 

What happens when you try to change networks?
