I have an EE portable wifi (Osprey) with roaming. My mobile phone in France doesn't have a phone signal (it's with Sfr network). However I do have a signal on my EE portable wifi. But I can't link it for wifi calling. Why is this?

I see the reply to this question dates from 2019. Can you tell me whether it is still the case that I cannot use wifi calling from France, even though I've got roaming as part of the package? I ask because my phone in France doesn't have a signal (it's with Sfr) but I do have a signal on my EE portable wifi.

Hi @markaccio
EE is a UK-based operator and WiFi calling is designed as a coverage-improvement service in this country.
Have you tried restarting your phone?

@markaccio , Have you tried to see if you can connect to a different network? Sometimes that can make a difference. SFR is I believe Swiss, if I am correct, Swiss French.
