Voicemail

I have just put a new sim 4/5 G  into an old Nokia 3310,  ie about 20 years old.  Everything works fine except the voicemail.  I can telephone the voicemail without any problem.  I have sent text  VM ON to 150 and they replied that voicemail had been successfully set up.  The phone itself has a call divert section.  For example you can divert to voicemail if not answered or if no signal.  You have to activate it on the phone.  But when I activate "Divert if not answered"  I get "Not Done."   Same with "Divert if the phone is off or no coverage."

I am on a monthly contract.

Any ideas.  I got the new sim yesterday so perhaps it takes time for the computers to set everything up

@john5101 you need to change the device as when 3G is switched off you’ll only be using the 2G network.  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

yes but the 2g network is okay for voice calls and texts.  That is all I want.

Try entering the following code, and try to call it:

*61*07953222222*30#

This is a "GSM code" for setting a divert on no-answer after 30seconds.
