Using roaming in Australia

Since landing in Oz my phone hasn’t been able to connect to any Network other than WiFi.
I’ve had a look through some previous, similar posts and there zooms to be an issue.
I’ve bought the roaming package, tried turning my phone on and off again, checked the settings etc and all looks fine.
tried to call EE for help but it keeps saying call failed, so I’m running out of things to try to rectify the problem and I don’t know how to contact EE for help any other way.
any help would be much appreciated

Hello @ZoeL1976

Did you activate roaming before leaving the UK by texting ROAMING to 150?

A "roaming package" aka a billing add-on, just reduces the cost of roaming - it doesn't enable the facility itself. Equally you mention "check the settings" - which specific settings have you checked? Many people confuse the "data roaming" option on their phones, which again - just enables mobile data use whilst roaming.

The relevant setting is an account-level one, and it's enabling international roaming on your account - this unlocks access to foreign networks and thus coverage abroad. As per the previous reply, did you text ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK?
