Hi

I am on holiday in South afrcia and when I initially inserted a local sim into the phone- seems to have blocked it asking for mck code and another network unlock code.

I am currently unable to send messages abroad and have purchased a day of international roaming however the messages have still not gone across

Can you please assist urgently

Thanks

Hi @maleshnee

It looks as if your phone is locked to EE.

Are you an EE pay monthly or PAYG customer?

Thanks

This sounds like you have purchased a billing add-on, which merely serves to reduce the cost of roaming. Your phone still needs permission to connect to foreign networks, which is free of charge - and is usually done by texting ROAMING to 150 whilst still in the UK.

If you are now abroad without roaming being enabled, the only recourse is to contact CS via another means in order to activate it.
