I am currently in China, and I couldn't send texts or make calls using my EE number.
I was on contract, but I switched to PAYG in August (while abroad). I can receive texts tho. I have balance in my account, and I have full signal. I couldn't even call or message the 150 number. I tried calling other EE customer service numbers. I also tried restarting. Nothing seems to work. I tried calling the customer service using other phone, and they said all my settings were fine.
Has anyone had this issue before?

Many! Those that switch from contract to PAYG while abroad.
As it was switched to PAYG while you were abroad you can't now use it until you return to UK. EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network before they can be used abroad.
