I've seen this statement in the footnotes (13) of page 9 titled "Calling abroad from the UK" of the current Plan Price Guide updated 1st July 2022.
it states that calls and texts from the UK to Ireland are included within your allowance.
Having added a new line to my account this week I find this not to be the case, as a test call to my own Irish SIM charges the 19ppm seen at the top of page 9 (yes the footnote number is incorrect here).
Exactly the same detail is in the version updated 25th May 2022.
To further confuse the issue, on page 7 the current MONTHLY PLAN TERMS AND PRICE GUIDE updated 3rd March 2022, this table also indicates that calls and texts are inclusive across all plan types.
Whereas the previous version does not mention Irish calls and texts as inclusive.
Can anyone confirm whether the documentation is incorrect or are they not billing such calls and text properly?
Luckily the main purpose of me adding the additional line was not to avail of the claims that my calls and texts to Ireland would come from my allowance, but it would have been handy.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Having not looked at the Price Plans for a while I am glad to see that the documentation errors that I had pointed out in this thread have all finally been addressed.
However the Roaming Costs Calculator still does not mention the unique exemption from the daily roaming charge.
For clarity....
Calls and texts from the UK to mobiles and landlines in Ireland (RoI) are NOT included in plan allowances.

Call from the UK to Ireland are international calls and are chargeable. Without a comprehensive review of the links you've posted, that info appears to be misleading.
I vaguely recall some specific plan-types had the option for inclusive calls to Ireland, but can't remember specifics.

Hello @ildr ,
Welcome to the community,
If you upgrade or add a new line after 7th July 2021, then calls that were included in Europe when roaming, will now not be included.
International calls from the UK to other countries, including Europe, have always cost extra, same with text. Northern Ireland is free, but Southern Ireland has never been included when ringing from the UK.

The RoI is an exception to that. See Pay monthly mobile phone price plans :
For mobile phone and SIM tariffs launched from 7 July 2021 and tablet/laptop/mobile broadband/data SIM tariffs launched from 18 August 2021: there is a daily charge to use your plan allowances whilst abroad within the EU/EEA. Calls, texts and data used within the Republic of Ireland is included in your allowance. If you exceed your allowance, a daily charge will apply.
But's that's about roaming. The OP is not roaming but calling from UK.

Yes, you seem to be being charged contrary to the latest Price Plan.
Footnote 13 is a nonsense. It can't be talking about calls from UK but about roaming calls. There is never & can't be a £2 daily charge applied to calling from UK but there is for roaming in EU for contracts taken from 07/07/2021 (hence the date mentioned). Roaming in RoI was excepted from that £2 daily charge. That's all about roaming not calling from the UK.
International calls & texts to overseas nos. from UK can be rather expensive but EE has a free add-on that anyone, on PAYG or contract, can apply for to give these calls & texts at a fraction of the standard rates. See The Free CALL ABROAD Add-on for Cheap Calls/Texts from UK .

I agree the info is misleading, but did influence me taking on this additional line with a view to also change my pre 7th July 2021 line to take advantage of the claimed inclusivity of UK to Ireland calls and texts.

Yes footnote 13 just doesn't seem right for some reason, even though it is on the "Calling abroad from the UK" page and states what I'm claiming, I also think they have confused themselves and that section is incomplete in some manner.
But in further rooting around this morning I did not realise that SIM Only plans had separate price guides and came across this table which again claims inclusivity of calls and texts to Ireland.
I'll escalate this on Monday and see what the outcome is.

Hi @ildr
Thanks for coming to the community and making us aware of the price plan guides showing incorrect information, I have requested these to be updated.
If you get in touch with our mobile care team on 150, they will certainly see what they can do to help.

@Leanne_T : Would you agree that Footnote 13 of the latest Price Guide as highlighted by the OP is misleading by being out of context with Calling from UK & is more about Roaming in RoI? If so, please would you include it in your update request.
