@Eks1  Login to your online account and turn it if there.  Or put your device is to airplane mode.  No signal no roaming.

If you have a pay monthly account, you can change your roaming status by logging into your My EE account online, then go to Menu > Account Settings > Control Content > Roaming abroad.

I think the path is not valid anymore as I cannot see control content in there.
