Hey, I got a Sim card at the Heathrow airport on my way to Germany.
The guy at the kiosk installed it into my phone and told me I'm ready to go.
I went on to Germany without testing it and just trusting the guy.
Now that I'm in Germany the phone doesn't work. It seems it's connected to a network but I can't place a call nor can I use any data.
After trying to troubleshoot online it seems that I should have placed a call while I was in London to activate the Sim.
Now that I'm roaming it doesn't seem to work.
What can I do?
I called customer service a couple times already and they promised to call me back but nothing yet.
It would be nice if I could use the service I paid for especially being far away from home.
Any suggestions?

Hi @AK2020
EE Sims are designed for the UK network.
If the SIM isn't activated in the UK then nothing can be done. UK EE PAYG Sims need to be activated on the UK network before they can be used.
Buy a local German SIM is your solution.

@AK2020 you’ve got a signal so there is no reason you can not use it. Can text BALANCE to 150 ?

- I have new esims QRCODE I don't know how I can activate it in SIM cards & Porting
- eSim switchover has deleted my SIM phone number and I can't connect to get code in SIM cards & Porting
- My number hasn’t been used since September 2023. Is it still active ? in Mobile Services
- Need my micro SIM activating. out of UK and can not make calls and no network in SIM cards & Porting
- Has anyone had the free EU roaming activated? in Roaming
