Roaming

I have roaming as an inclusive extra on my all rounder plan.  Do I have to text 150 roam to activate the extra before I leave the UK or does it update automatically when I first use it abroad.

@Toyee : You do not need to do anything to get your Roam Abroad Pass inclusive extra but you need to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.

To add - it's not the billing add-on that you need to activate, this is added when you request it.

What you need to enable, is the roaming facility - it is this which enables access to foreign networks and without which, you won't get coverage abroad.

Having no coverage will cause an inability to use your phone for any network-reliant functions - calls, texts & mobile data.

Thanks Bristolian for the response.  That’s really good advice.
