Can I use my phone abroad without buying a roaming pass , can I just connect to the hotel wifi ?

@Kelly812 : Yes, if you don't connect to any mobile network abroad but just connect to WiFi hotspots. WiFi connections have nowt to do with EE.

Also - the roaming pass is just a billing add-on that reduces the cost of roaming. It's useless without having the roaming facility enabled, which is what allows a phone to connect to foreign networks.

You can use your phone on any WiFi connection without needing a mobile network connection. Be aware WiFi-calling is not supported abroad, and if it does happen to work - roaming charges will be incurred.
