I'm due to fly to Poland in 2 weeks and was just checking my "roaming" but apparently this is already added on with my contract, so does that mean I won't incur any additional charges?
It doesn't really make much sense.

There are two elements.
1: Most importantly, ensure roaming is enabled on your SIM - this is what enables access to foreign networks and without it, you won't get coverage abroad. Text ROAMING to 150.
2: Choose any billing add-on. Poland is within the EU so on any recent contract, you either pay £2.29/day or £25/month in order to use your UK allowances.

Nearly everyone on contract has the £2.29 / day roaming add-on. It is free to have & gives you the right to use your UK allowances in the EU for £2.29 each day you do so.
