Hi @justmikeiom

Thanks for coming here 🙂

When you arrive in Poland, and you have an active Subscription Pack we’ll send you a text to opt in to either of our roaming add-ons:

  • Roam like Home for 24 hours (£2.50 a day)
  • Roam like Home for 7 days (£10 for 7 days)

Full information can be found in our Pay As You Go Charges for Roaming in the EU | Help | EE

Have a lovely time 🙂

Leanne.

@justmikeiom : To use your pack allowances in the EU on PAYG there are roaming charges of either £2.50 / day, by having texted ROAMEU1D to 150, or £10 / week, by having texted ROAMEU7D to 150, to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment. You will receive a msg upon arrival telling you about these charges for roaming in EU & inviting to take up these options. If you opt to reply neither or you don't have an active pack, you will be paying standard rates for calls & texts & will need to buy a PAYG add-on for data.

I find the EE information on roaming very confusing!  I am sure it must be me.  But is the "Active Subscription Pack" for pay as you go customers  only?  We plan to travel to Poland next week.  I have a SIM only contract with EE and my wife and looking on MyEE selecting my phone and going to the Roaming webpage it says there is a daily charge £2.47 in 52 countries.  I clicked on the EU countries link and the amount there is £2.29 and only 48 countries are listed.  I am still unsure of the steps I need to take to activate roaming on my specific contract.

@dahgigman : Packs are PAYG & only PAYG. You are on contract.

You may use your usual UK allowances in the EU with up to 50 GB (contract) or 25 GB (PAYG) data per billing month if you have more. If on contract & your contract started after 07/07/2021 there'll be a £2.29 / day charge for using your UK allowances in EU or alternatively you may buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £25 / billing month.

The £2.29 daily charge is going up to £2.47 from 31 March.

As you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.
