Hi
Im going to Australia for next 2 months March&April 2022 to visit family. I have an Essential Plan 4gb here in UK. I will mostly use my phone in Australia for online banking/facebook and messenger to call or message family both in UK and Australia. Whats best/cheapest way to use my phone once I am there as I dont want to come back to horrific charges. Ive seen EE has a £10 per month add on for Australia is that my best option and will it allow me to use Messenger for calls/messaging in both UK & Australia without any further charges ?

Welcome to the EE community
There's details of EE's roaming costs on the pricing tool here - which includes links to some add-ons.
You might also want to consider the Roam Abroad Pass

The £10 pm Roam Further pass will allow you to use your UK allowances in Oz with up to 50 GB data per billing month if you have more. Messenger & other apps of its ilk just use data whether for calls or messaging.
