Roaming charges

Hi

I was travelling to Italy and checked in the Ee app which said that as I had the roam like home adding that I could use my allowance in the eu with no additional charges.

When I arrived I got a text that said this:

Hi from EE. While you're in Italy thanks to your Roaming Pass you can use your plan minutes, texts and data allowances at no extra cost.

After a few days I tried calling home and phone calls were blocked. So I contacted EE who told me I needed to pay them 2.25 per day and immediately added this charge to my allowances.

Now I know we live in a distopian parallel universe now, burt doesnt the 2.25 count as an “extra cost/additional charges”???

@mymouldyboots : You were told wrong. As you have the Roam Abroad Pass, confirmed by that msg on arrival, it replaces paying the £2.29 / day.

Did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before you left UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming billing add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c.
