Roaming In Italy

I activated roaming on my iPhone and paid both an add-on and topped-up credit.

Yet still I don't have any internet whenever I step out of my hotel. A trip I had last week was the same. I still have 28.9GB remaining from my 15£ pack. Yes, I did turn my phone off and on.

Can someone please just tell me a simple solution to fix this? What do I have to pay? What do I need to switch on, just so I can use the pack I paid for?

Losing my mind here.

Hello @nicoleamio ,

Welcome to the community,

Did you activate roaming on your account, not just on your phone? You should have text roaming to 150 or rang customer service to make sure that roaming is activated. It has to be activated on your account and cannot be done via the phone.

If you have another way of contacting them or better still if you have Skype, then you can call this number for free: +448000798586 or here other ways of contacting them:

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Hi @nicoleamio

Do you have the Roam like home add-on showing as active in your My EE account?

Can you make calls and send texts?

Leanne 🙂

@nicoleamio : Did you receive a msg upon arrival telling you about the charges for roaming in EU on PAYG? Did you buy 1 of the "Roam Like Home" add-ons to be able to use your UK pack allowances there?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.
