Hi,
I have a 240gb pay monthly pack on my wifi dongle (is it a subscription pack I have no idea?)
If I go to the EU how do I buy a Roam like Home pack? Can you do this in advance?

Hello @jkingsbury1.
Is your WiFi dongle a contract?
Or pay as you go with a reoccurring pack?
Speak soon,
Katie

There are no 240GB PAYG packs. If it's a PAYG data SIM it is only useable in UK.

So to travel to the EU with a wifi dongle you now need to pay an additional fee for roaming (£10 for 7 days) to use your own UK data allowances (and you can only use 50GB of data a month).
My questions are...
1. Do you need to buy a EU data pack when you reach the 50GB 'UK allowances' limit in the EU?
2. What is the cost of the EU data packs that you can buy? Apparently they come in 3, 5 or 10GB..
3. If you buy an EU data pack (purchased whilst in the EU) do you also need to buy another roaming pack (£10)?
4. Do EU packs (purchased whilst in the EU) contribute to your 50GB per month limit?

Hi @jkingsbury1
If you use the SIM when roaming, you would need an active pack and the credit to purchase the EU Roaming add-on to use your allowance in the EU, data has a fair usage policy of 25GB for pay as you go.
You will get a text when you land to activate the add-on.
Please see the Roaming Costs, Help page, for more details 🙂
Leanne.

@jkingsbury1 If your on PAYG that’s 25Gb per month not 50Gb as that’s for contracts.

I have 240GB of data which I want to use (all of it) whilst in the EU
Last year this was not a problem
Why is it a problem now?
