@Bunbry : MMS are not free & are not included in your texts allowance. You have included an emoji in your text or attached a picture or something into it. That turns it into an MMS or Picture Msg.

Hi, no text only, no idea why this has happened, was working fine then 10 minutes later getting the cap message. Looked at at all my settings and canāt figure out whatās going on. The recipient is now green on my contacts instead of blue. This is a vulnerable person so a bit of an emergency and Iām very frustrated. Thanks for any help you can give,

Hi @Bunbry
To add to @XRaySpeX post messages over 160 characters will be converted to MMS.
You can change your spend cap in your EE account or online account.
Thanks

Not necessarily! It will 1st split the text into <= 160 char chunks & send each as an SMS & charged accordingly. I just don't know the limit at which this stops & the text is too big & has to be sent as an MMS.

That is incorrect information. Adding an emoji to a standard text does NOT convert it into an MMS. I'm old school and use text frequently, an emoji laden text is sent as 'FREE' if you have that built into your plan. The cost of MMS is prohibitive at 89p for one single MMS! A real money spinner for EE as I had to send my 1st one in over 4 years just a few weeks ago as it was a situation I had no choice...
