I have received lots of calls from 0843 and 0845 numbers nearly every day. The caller hangs up within seconds, called the number back once but the number was not recognised, I don't call them back now i block them and report the number. But i am getting fed up with it.

@PSM2 All you can do is block them, EE can not stop someone from calling you.
You could try registered with the TPS service HERE.
I really get any cold callers because I am registered with the service and have been for a very long time now. And if anyone does ring you and you do answer you just say your registered with the TPS service they soon put the phone down.
It’ll take around 30 days before you should see reduced calls.

If you did call them back & did connect, you would be charged for calling these Service nos.
These scammers call from random fake nos. So there is not much point in blocking them as they'll keep changing. Just put the phone down & never call back.

It's a real problem. I'm getting 2-3 calls A DAY from random 0843 & 0845 numbers. Every time it's different so it's impossible to block any.
So irritating, especially as they usually come when I'm working over Teams/Zoom on the laptop & it causes me to have to look at the phone. Or when my wife shouts to me that I have a call when I'm in the shower & it's one of those that goes dead after 3 rings. Really irritating.
I did call back a few times but it was either a scam 'You Have WON MONEY/HOLIDAY etc' or just went dead. I checked & haven't been charged for them but none-the-less it's a pain I could do without.
Any ideas? It's a plague & I feel powerless.

TPS wouldn't work as it's a different number every time. 😞

Indeed so. Unfortunately spam callers are a problem which plague the entire UK telecoms industry.
You can block individual numbers using your phone's call block function, you may be able to block number ranges using an app-function.
The majority of "legitimate" callers would use either 080x or 03x number ranges.
