Number swap

I ordered a new phone on contract from EE and I asked to have the same number on my new phone. However the new phone has a different number and I just need it swapped to my old one

Did you purchase your new phone as an upgrade? If you did, you would simply swap your SIM from your current phone to your new phone, and retain your number as a matter of course.

If you purchased your new phone as a brand new contract, then it correctly comes with a new number.
