No service/signal in EU

Hi, I am currently abroad in the Netherlands and have passed through France and Belgium without being able to connect to any service in either country. 

I am on a monthly plan and I have abroad roaming on. I have even gone to apple to check it might be my phone but it’s definitely the sim card there’s something wrong

Hi, 

I think I managed to solved the problem by changing my problem by changing my phone from being on 5G to 4G! Maybe give that a try!

Just wanted to update.

I tried doing that and more but the eventual solution was coming back to
the uk and speaking on the phone to 2 different customer service persons to
figure out that there was a problem on the EE end, with some authorisations
on my sim - which they couldn't tell me why they had been changed.

They pressed a magic button on their end and I turned my phone on and off
and all was eventually ok.
