Hi,
I put an English sim card from EE into my phone (old iPhone, reset etc.) at home in Poland and... nothing.
If someone from the UK just tries to call, they have information that my phone is turned off, the same way the other way around. I can't send an SMS.
The account was topped up, the SIM card activated in the UK (it worked there, on another phone) in Poland does not work at all.
Roaming enabled.
Any ideas what might not be working? It's not a phone issue.

Did you use that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad? EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

Just to add to @XRaySpeX question, when was the last time the SIM card was used in the UK?

Using the SIM on the EE Network in the UK is what would activate the SIM card for you @claudiavfreda
Have you tried manually connecting to another network?
Leanne.

Go into Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection and turn off automatic to see what networks are available and try them to see if you can connect @claudiavfreda
