I set up roaming but didn't text roaming to 150

Please help me, my 15yo boys are in America with school and i set up roaming on their accounts but didn’t text ROAMING to 150 on their new phones (iPhone 11). Ive looked at previous advice and cannot seem to activate it through parental controls or data options.

They have left the airport and I have no way of contacting them. They have only SOS access. Please put my mind at rest and tell me something can be done. It’s nearly midnight and I am awake worrying.

Thank you from an already anxious mum

@RigbyT : You need to call CS to get their roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

Texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK is generally how you activate roaming, did your sons receive a reply to that text message?

If you now find yourself abroad without having enabled roaming, your only recourse will be to contact CS to request it activated. You can either contact +44 7953 966150 from another working phone, or +44 800 0798586 using a web-calling app such as Skype over WiFi.
