If it was switched to PAYG while you were abroad you can't now use it until you return to UK. EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network before they can be used abroad.

@sipasas  Did you use that sim as a PAYG sim in the UK before you left the UK ?  You can not change from a contract to a PAYG when outside the UK as that sim will not change to a PAYG as it needs to be connected to the EE network directly.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hello. I've changed from contract to payg while i was in uk . Also top up it in uk and abroad . As it allows me doing thrue ee website . Can't even ring ee service as it is not connecting a phone call. Text service currently unavailable. A phone number is tracked to my crypto currency accounts and it's important to me . Can't really lose a number 😬

While in UK you would have given 30 days notice for it to be changed to PAYG. The change itself would've happened 30 days later, presumably when you were abroad.
