EE International roaming not working

Hi

On holiday in Istanbul, Turkey and my phone has suddenly lost the ability to tether to any of the local networks. As a consequence, I cannot make or receive calls and more importantly cannot receive text messages, therefore am denied access to bank and credit accounts that operate on OTP messaging. I have the necessary add-ons in terms of international roaming and my Apple device has been set to data & roaming on. I've also switched it on and off dozens of times with no result.

I have tried chatting with EE people twice, two days ago I was told this was due to a service outage. However I note that on MY EE / Account Settings / Parental Controls, for some unknown reason the 'enable roaming' and 'make international calls' options are disabled. I have tried switching these on again, but the website will not allow me to make these changes. I have been unable to communicate this to the chat people who appear to be focusing on service outages.

Any help from anyone who is experiencing /has experienced a similar issue much appreciated.

Regards

@konuralpd   If it was working while you was already there then don’t worry about your account settings as there is a know bug that makes it look like roaming is not enable on your account when it actually is.        Your issue is probably local network related.  Have you tried manually searching for a network ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
Hi yes I have tried searching manually quite a number of times but it has not helped. The local network is not down I have checked. There’s a problem between EE and the local network.

Hi @konuralpd.

Have you tried resetting the network settings on your phone?

Do you know of anyone else with an EE phone having the same issues?
