Delay messages

I have a complaint my messages keep late and because of this I missed the birth of my grandson I was ment to be her berthing  partner and because of the delayed messages I didn't make it I received about 6 message's in one go at 8.15 and he was actually born at 1.24am , so one I was very upset that I missed being born and my daughter was on her own

So not very pleased

Did anyone try calling you instead of relying on text messages, and did those calls connect?

Was your phone in coverage or set to WiFi-calling at the time?

I am very sorry to hear you have missed these messages, I can understand how upsetting this would be for you and your Daughter @Sandra8860- 

Did they messages show as sent from the persons phone who text you at the correct time of trying? 

Has this happened with any other messages?

@Sandra8860-   Text message are not always going to be delivered the moment they are sent they have always been like this since there introduction.  It’s the main reason not to use text messages for very important information.      Nothing beats a phone call.
