Data roaming not working in australia

I arrived in Australia earlier today and activated the roaming pass after arrival, but it does not seem to be working?

You've mentioned activating the roaming pass after arriving in Australia, how did you do this?

In what way is it not working?

The roaming facility (which allows your phone to connect to foreign networks) is separate from a billing add-on, but assuming you added the pass by text message, you can't do that without a network connection.

Welcome to the community. I hope you're enjoying your time in Australia so far.

Did you activate roaming before you left the UK? The Roaming Pass is only an add-on, you need to activate roaming on your SIM too.

I am connected to a wifi network so that’s how I added the pass

No I did not activate it before I left the uk - how do I activate it on my sim

Please log in to your My EE account and speak with our online chat team. 

The team will be able to activate roaming on your account.

Hello thanks for your reply, I am unable to contact the chat team - is this because I am abroad?

If a call is needed does the account holder need to call and I am not the account holder

Hi @miniscraf

Our online chat service for customers abroad will appear within your My EE account when an agent is available. 

If you are not the account holder I would recommend asking the account holder to call to activate roaming.

Hello, I had the account holder call and activate which they did and they told me to restart my iPhone. However it is still not working after restarting?

This can take 24 hours to activate. 

Have you tried manually connecting to another network since?
