Calling from europe

Hello my samsung galaxy s22 wont let me make calls from spain,i have a roaming add on and can send texts and surf the net etc,but cannot make calls,i get a recorded message saying call not allowed speak to your network supplier.can anybody highlight what i need to do,this problem didnt happen with my s19 ! I go majorca in 3 weeks and could do with having a phone that calls

Are you calling Spanish numbers or back to the UK.  Are you adding the international code to your numbers.

Are you on EE PAYG or pay monthly contract.

Hello northerner i am trying to ring the uk from spain,i am disabled and need to keep people informed of my health whilst abroad, i am pay monthly and i am dialing the number correctly,i can dial the same number on my wifes phone and it works no problem,i have a roaming add on valid for spain .

Does this recorded message seem to be originated from the Spanish network? And what is the exact wording of the message?

Are the symptoms identical across multiple Spanish networks, if you manually connect to each & every available network in turn?

I suspect this is a local network issue if you can send texts but not make calls.

Hello bristolian ive tried orange and movistar networks  and when i make a call i get the same recorded message saying call not allowed contact your operator.i dont think ive sent the roaming text before i travel,ee still bill me per day for eu roaming,it just seems strange that i can text and surf but not call,this time im gonna try texting roaming to 150 the evening before i set of and see what that does,ive even thought about getting a local payg sim and putting it in the sim 2 slot on my phone

Could you check to make sure that there aren't any international call bars on your Samsung phone please?

Are you able to give our Mobile Care team a call from your wife's phone? They have access to your account and will be able to check everything from our side.

If you can send texts, use mobile data and receive a pre-call announcement, it follows that you have a mobile network connection.

Roaming is therefore setup, and the issue lies elsewhere. The described symptoms are consistent with an international call bar.
