I'm heading to Spain on the 16th of May, Checked my roaming and got the below reply from EE:
'Your plan doesn't include EU roaming.
When in Spain, you'll pay £2 per day to use your plan's minutes, texts and data allowance.
Or you can purchase a Roam Abroad Pass for £10p/m which will give you access to use your plan's minutes, texts and data allowance whilst in Spain plus the EU, USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia & New Zealand. You can add the £10 Roam Abroad Pass by replying ROAMING PASS.
Calls from Spain to countries outside the EU are £1.35 per min (Incl. Voicemail) and texts 56p each. Picture messages are 73p and are not included in plan allowances.
You can access this service at any time by replying ROAMING.
If you need some more roaming related help you can reply YES now and we'll organise a call back for you within 10 minutes'
But it's the 'calls from spain to countries outside of the EU' bit that I want to ask about.
If I call home or family in the UK, are we still classified as within the EU for this.
Or are we now classified as outside, so will be charged for all calls?
Thanks on any clarification you can provide. 🙂

Calls from the EU to UK nos. are included in your allowances.
You may use your usual UK allowances while in EU with up to 50 GB (contract) or 25 GB (PAYG) data per billing month if you have more. If your contract started after 07/07/2021 there'll be a £2 / day charge for using your UK allowances in EU or you may buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £10 / month.
If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to check roaming is enabled on your account.

@CoiledColt No the UK isn’t in the EU. Do you remember Brexit ?
You need to pay the £2 a day fee or purchase the further pass at £10 per month and you will be able to use your allowances whilst in Spain to call back to the UK.

@2 Cracking news. You sir are a star, thanks for the quick reply
@3 I'm happy paying the £2 to use my minutes, texts and data. But that was my question. As we are no longer EU would I incure further costs calling home. Or as I'm calling the UK and my contract is held with the UK would it be free.
And it's more relating to calling USA for example.

Yes, calls to USA & outside the EU & UK will cost £1.35 / min.
It is actually referring to "Outside EE Europe zone". EE Europe zone is defined as the EU, Switzerland & few other European countries outside the EU.
