Abroad - called barred cannot even dial EE for support

I am currently abroad and didnt use my phone for a bit and now calls are barred. I cannot even call EE. I did a top up to see if it will correct things but it didn't. I am away until beginning of September and seem to be powerless to do anything about it. When I called the helpline from another phone it asked form my number but wouldn't accept my inputs.

Is there on online chat - which would be best.

I have an EE online account.

Thank you

Hello @rickimp ,

Welcome to the community,

How long ago is it since you used your SIM card? I take it it is pay as you go, please take a look here:

https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Pay-as-you-go/Understanding-Pay-As-You-Go-Hibernation-and-how-to-keep-...

There is no live chat for pay as you go and there is no email to contact EE either whether on pay as you go or contract.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Just opening link. Cannot even call 150 but it did accept a top up last week. I spend a lot of time abroad. I usually get a text reminder to tell me to use my phone but I haven't so I think it is less than the required 3 months - unless that text was barred too.

Link gave me some guidelines. Hibernation is possible, but i have used it even for a single text message since the New Year

In which direction? Incoming texts don't count.

Also New Year is more than 6 months past, longer than the hibernation triggar.
