Network issues in Coventry

The EE network has been a joke for a month now!!!  There are constant
problems. Connection issues, the internet works like it did 10 years ago
(3G connection), my friends are also having problems with this network.
This is happening across the whole of Coventry.

What are the "connection issues" you're having? Can you be more specific - calls not connecting? Mobile data not loading? Phone losing coverage in locations that others have it?

3G was switched off nationally in 2024.

Problems with incoming and outgoing connections... Internet speeds in
different locations 15-20 Mbps download, 6-8 Mbps upload 😉 It works
like 3G used to... I have 5G coverage... Tested on different phones...
Samsung s25... iPhone 17... when changing the SIM card to Tree, there
are no problems... 500 Mbps download... 300 Mbps upload 🙂 Band 1 does
not work throughout Coventry... a month ago everything was great! Did
the EE network deliberately switch off the 2100 MHz band???

So data speed issues then. Interestingly, the thread you'd originally added to was discussing the potential local issues with 4G2100, but you refer to having 5G so you'd be on the opposite side of the fence of B1 has been locally refarmed to N1.

Which bands & carriers are you seeing locally?

I'm not an informant. Check how BTS are working in Coventry right now!! This is some kind of joke!! For example, cv24jp. Only band 20. Outgoing and incoming calls are not working!! Have a nice night!!

Sorry to hear you’re facing problems with signal. 

The first step to try is restarting your device.  

You can check coverage and network status at Check mobile coverage where you can also report any issues you are facing, as well as sign up for updates on any known issues that may be going on.
