Unable to make/receive calls

LouH153

For the last few days I haven't been able to make/receive calls or texts or use mobile data. It says I'm not registered on a mobile network and  showing emergency calls only but even that didn't work (needed to make an emergency call yesterday but couldn't!)

I can't access my voicemail.

I've switched the phone off several times and reset it - so tried all the obvious 'fixes'  but still no luck .

It's a Galaxy Flip Z5 ,I'm in the UK.

Is this loss of coverage specific to one location, or more general? The latter could indicate a phone fault, the former a local loss of service.

Local outages can be checked via the "check status" option on https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee

No, it'seems to be everywhere but thanks for the link!

Hi @LouH153

Was the Galaxy Flip Z5 from EE or did you get it elsewhere.

Are you on EE PAYG or pay monthly contract.

Can you try the SIM in another phone.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone. You can call Freephone +44 800 079 8586 on Skype

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 10.30pm every day.
Hi,
I spoke to tech support who advised a new SIM which I now have so
hopefully that should solve the issues...

Hi @LouH153

Let us know how you get on with the new SIM 🙂

Leanne.

The new SIM has made a difference however the signal is significantly
weaker in my area .
Another call to tech support didn't really solve much - apparently my
home is on the edge of an area where there has been issues but that doesn't
explain the poor signal in other areas plus the fact I wasn't able even to
make an emergency call.

Hi @LouH153

Are you experiencing poor signal in other areas after receiving the new SIM card?

You can check for any reported issues on the EE Coverage & Network Status Checker | Check your signal if you enter the postcode you are in and select 'check status'

Leanne.

Yes, in areas that has previously had good signal.....

Do other EE users have similar problems in these same locations?
