Re: Full 4G, but cannot make calls

Yes, I just experienced this happening with my phone over the past 2 days.  It’s a new phone and a new contract with EE (never been with them before).   Went to make a call and it wouldn’t ring, it would immediately cut the call off.  Another time, it would ring twice and then end the call for me, so I ended up doing this several times to get their attention and hope they would call me back (which they did thankfully).  I have no problems with the signal, I get 4g and 5g.  I just really hope this doesn’t continue.

It’s an android phone and no the VoLTE doesn’t show up at top of screen.  But I did put EE SIM card into the old mobile and it did show up with the VoLTE on that phone (Samsung galaxy A10).  So any answers as to what next possible step would be, that would be much appreciated.

Then I “toggled” with flight mode and tried a call to a landline and a mobile and both rang, no glitches there.  I don’t know if this part of the ‘solution’ or not but need someone else to verify.

Are you using Apple or Android? If Android, does VoLTE show?

Do these symptoms persist after toggling flight mode?

It’s an android phone and no the VoLTE doesn’t show up at top of screen.  But I did put EE SIM card into the old mobile and it did show up with the VoLTE on that phone (Samsung galaxy A10).  So any answers as to what next possible step would be, that would be much appreciated.

Android's display VoLTE in normal operation, and the lack of it suggests either you're on 2G, or at least your calls will be using 2G.

I've just noticed the menu option to toggle it seems to have been removed in the most recent software version, but check under your connection settings whether it's present & if so, enabled.

The VoLTE does not show up on my new nokia phone and sometimes shows it is as on 4G or 5G, sometimes only showing the symbol.  
So I don’t understand when you say it may be on 2G? I thought that was gone now.
