in my postcode area (TF9) the signal is always bad.... indoors anywhere in my town you struggle to get any signal at all. in my home i very rarely can take a call unless i use whatsapp or messenger. most times my phone will ping when i go upstairs to tell me i have a missed call. . the EE mast is less than half a mile away on top of a former water tower..... i can see this from my back garden . EE tells me there is a second mast somewhere in the area , but they won't tell you where..
EE coverage checker says "you can expect good coverage indoors and outdoors" in my area...... i think not!
i have been disatisfied with the signal/service for years, but speaking to users of other services i dont think they are any better.. i think its just a case of there isnt a lot of money to be made from small towns, so they arent going to spend the money to improve the service.

Thanks for coming back to us.
If you would like to get the signal problems looked into, I would suggest getting in touch with our tech gurus.
They will give you an update after checking the area.

Do you know any friends or relatives who use EE - do they have the same problems in the same location? If they do, that's good evidence of a network issue, but if not there may be a fault with your phone.
Apps such as WhatsApp & Messenger are just that - apps. WiFi-calling enables you to make & receive calls using your phone's native dialler, and send & receive text messages - all as normal without any need for mobile coverage.
WhatsApp & Messenger only allow you to communicate with other app users, but calls & texts made or received via WiFi-calling are sent & dialled entirely as normal, and will seamlessly swap between WiFi & 4G-voice carriers.
