Hi  we have a 30m tower free standing we know EE are struggling to get planning permission for a new mast location in our area as two of your masts are beyond repairing. How do we go about applying for the mast to be placed on our tower.

Many thanks Matt

Just by means of some background, having a new network site isn't an application process as such - operators choose areas where they require a new site and search for locations that will satisfy numerous requirements.

An interested landlord is always a good start, but an existing structure will need to pass structural and (very likely) planning consents before being deemed suitable for use. There may also be additional power requirements.

Out of interest, what do you mean by existing sites being beyond repair? Radio equipment can be replaced if necessary, or is this a structural issue?

There will be no additional power requirements as it was a large wind turbine.  We was told one site was not structurally safe for engineers the other site the land owner was refusing them access over their land.

I hope this helps.

Power requirements for new radio installs are dictated by dedicated surveys which then feed into the site design process.
