Poor signal when travelling

I am with EE, contract just coming to end. My husband is with BT. He gets signal more or less anywhere, travelling in the car, but I don’t. I need to be logged in to someone’s wi fi or occasionally when out and about I get a signal. Can’t look up things ( maps / directions ) when in the car so borrow my husbands phone.  Can’t send texts etc. I have no technical knowledge but this doesn’t make sense. I thought my new ee contract would be better than old one but it isn’t. As EE and BTvhave merged, does it make sense for me to change to BT ? Why is my husbands not only half the price mine is but heaps better service?

@bristolian  The network reset doesn’t wipe the device it just resets the network connection on the device.   And seeing as the BT device doesn’t have this issue in the same locations it’s a no harm in trying it.   I’ve had a iPhone many years ago that had network connection issues and it was only a few weeks old and this resolved that issue.    The only thing that needs to be put back on when prompted is WiFi passwords.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thank you again James

swapped Sims and my Sim worked well in my husbands phone.

this probably means it’s my phone at fault.

Thank you Chris.
did a network reset but it didn’t solve anything.

( he has less data than I do)

swapped SIMs with my husband and it was fine in his phone. Looks like it might be my phone.  I have been thinking it’s ee . Changed my package last year as I was fed up with it but no change.
thank you for your suggestion.

Thank you Bristolian

i think swapping SIMS has shown what the problem is as my SIM worked ok in my husbands  phone. This has been a long term

priblem so needed to sort it before leaving ee. Don’t think it’s their fault  maybe my phone!

Thank you for all your suggestions . After reset , and swapping SIM I have come to the conclusion that it is my phone causing the problem ( not ee!!) I have now ordered a new phone! Thank you all again.
