Hi, just wondering if anyone with any insider information or tech skills (more than just the frontline customer services) can tell me why the EE network has been down since Thursday of this week 05Sept24 and what engineers are doing to fix the issue?

The EE network has not been down since Thursday, but you may have a local loss of service.
Those can be checked using the online webtool - https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker and choose "check service status". You can report problems using the same page.

been there, done that, it tells me nothing useful, other than there is an issue. i need to know how long it is going to fix.

The "keep me posted" option is the usual next course of action. I would hazard a guess that you're unfortunate to not have overlapping coverage from any other neighbouring site, those cases can be flagged when the fault is raised.
WiFi-calling provides good indoor mitigation in such cases.
