NO SERVICE FOR 1 1/2 YEARS FULL CANCELLATION FEE

I've had little to no service since the beginning of my contract, none at home and very minimal in the town I live in (which is a largely populated area) I've phoned EE to cancel today because I'm sick of it, my usage depends solely on the functionality of my WiFi which has nothing to do with EE I pay good money for this separately, I'm going to be charged the full fee for cancellation despite not being provided with a network from the countries so called leading network provider, when I phoned up today I was rudely told as I was aware that there was limited service in my area from the second day of my contract it is my own fault even though upon signing up in the shop I was told I should have good signal inside my home and excellent signal outside with SOME limited signal at times, despite this when I phoned on the second day of the contract I was told to use WiFi calling as a temporary fix as they are making improvements to the network all the time, 1.5 years later I have been told it's my own fault and there are no plans to improve the network in my area in the near future and I will need to pay the full cancellation fee. How can I be blamed for this? It's a joke, I will never take a contract with this company again and neither will my friends or family.

A little unclear what the issue is here, whether you're reporting poor coverage in what's predicted as a good service area - or a protracted timescale for a fault to be resolved? WiFi-calling is an excellent mitigation for indoor coverage issues. Out of interest, where (roughly) are you?

It's true to say the initial 14days is the best time to establish whether the network coverage is suitable for you, and that if you are well established into your contract term then the standard termination fees would be applied for cancellation.

I'm in Northern Ireland the issue is no outdoor or indoor coverage whatsoever in my area, some sporadic coverage in some other areas of the town, I've tried to get a resolution from EE but have been offered the solution of there is nothing we can do and we also plan to do nothing about it, when I was told the network will always be getting improved upon, yet no improvement have been made in these 1.5 years. One agent has told me there has been work done on the mast in almost every month of my contract a few days later a different agent says they don't see any work that has been done on the mast recently. If I wake up for work (I work from home) and my wifi is gone I can't call them to say what's happened unless I walk up the road to try and get a signal, if I go on a night out and need to phone a taxi it's not possible most of the time and as a woman at times this can be scary because I'm then left with no choice but to walk alone and take my chances, the thing that bugs me the most is the coverage checker saying I should have some coverage in my home area when there is none at all, most of the time I feel like I'm in the 90s trying to find the nearest payphone
