Hi. A week ago I lost my 4G signal on a Huawei P20 Pro and despite having travelled in different areas it is still missing. Occasionally, there is a very weak sign of 4G but nothing usable. Tried all the usual fixes (on/off, aeroplane mode on/off etc etc) but to no avail. Heading abroad on Sunday and need a signal before then. HELP please!
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

The P20 Pro are Dual Sim Phones, make sure the settings for Preferred Network (Something like 2G/3G/4G(LTE) is set to preferred for the correct Sim Slot.

It will be under Network Settings, if Dual SIM under each SIM Settings, 2, 3G or 2,3,4G Auto, it's a Battery Saving feature.
On some older Huawei Dual Sims the 4G only worked on one of the SIM Slots, Default was SIM 1 unless changed.
Another thing to check is the APN is correct, again for each SIM.
Does it let you do *#*#4636#*#* to get to Phone info?

Hi @Abennett205
Can you make and receive calls?
Are you able to try the SIM card in another phone to see if you have 4G signal?

I visited the EE store in Braehead and a very helpful young man thought it was a SIM card issue. The card was scratched, so he replaced it and 4G signal started to come back while I was away on holiday in Croatia. However, biggest improvement seemed to be when Huawei did a system update on my phone a few days ago. All good now, so either SIM or system update requirement was the issue.
Thanks everyone for suggestions
