Leaving EE

For the past few years I have been receiving bad 5G and 4G service in my area of Peterborough. And is affecting my line of work  Everytime I call up to complain I always get the same response " masts are down I've engineer is on it" apparently a engineer has been on it for 3 years 🤦I pay £57 for three Sims. Not worth it. I have found much better deals elsewhere. So I'll be calling up soon to cancel my contract.

Do you know anyone else who uses EE locally, who you could compare service with? If there genuinely are network problems they would affect all users indiscriminately. The amount of your monthly bills is immaterial, but are these issues happening in areas of poor coverage? You can safely use the nearest equivalent phone to do coverage & status checks, it needn't be the exact same device.

Hi @shazadali418,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

What does the Network Status Checker report for your area?

James

When I am at home it's mostly ok.

  • But when I go to certain areas in my town. I get no signal at all or very poor signal. Even if I am close to a mast. It's affecting my  business as I do food deliveries. And I cannot accept the order as delivered. I literally have to leave the area. To mark it as accepted and delivered.

I cannot do a signal check because my phone is not listed.

Xiaomi 11T. I had a OnePlus 8 before and it had the same issue. When I do a status check. Lifting a different phone. It says 5G is not covered.?.

So I'm basically paying for a service I'm not even getting.

My mobile signal says 5G but I'm not getting 5G speeds.

(Sorry click solution by mistake)

At home the signal fine but I just connect to my home Wi-Fi.

But if I am out and about there is no guarantee that I will get a signal at all. Sometimes it dies completely get a small red X on my signal bar it happens when I'm working. Which is the worst part. I know some friends who are on different networks and they don't seem to have the same problem. That's why I think it might be just EE.

Hi @shazadali418

Thanks for posting

Have you had a replacement SIM card at all?

Does the EE Coverage Checker show any problems for the areas, if you select 'Check Status'?

Leanne.

Yes had a replacement SIM been through the whole process.

When I call up. I get the same excuse. The areas that I report where I get a bad signal. The operator says there is a fault in the area. I mean how long does it take to fix a fault because that same fault has been going on for 2 years.
