Update: 28 February 2025
Over the past few months, our engineers have been continuing legal negotiations to legally acquire the land from the landowner and start building the equipment needed for the new mast. Once all legal steps have been completed, we can start building the equipment needed and confirm an approximate on-air date for the new mast.
For the second location, following negotiations with the site provider, we have found the area will no longer be suitable for a new mast. Our engineers will be progressing with the first location for the new mast.
We will keep you updated on this post.

We’re aware of a signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Isle of Dogs.
Our mast in the area had to be removed from the existing site in June 2022 due to the area being redeveloped. As soon as we were made aware our equipment would need to be relocated, our engineers began looking for a new location for the mast. We have located two new locations for the mast to be installed, in case of any complications at either site.
Our engineers have completed designs at the first location, and the designs have passed health and safety checks to make sure the area will be suitable for the equipment. We are currently progressing with legal steps to acquire the land from the site provider. Pending a positive outcome from the legal hearing, we will start building the equipment needed for the new mast and confirm an approximate on-air date.
For the second location, our engineers have visited the area and completed designs, these have been submitted for approval. Pending a positive outcome from the designs, we will start legal proceedings to acquire the land from the site provider and start building the equipment needed for the new mast.

I have been pretty much completely unable to use my phone in my local area because of this issue for a couple of months and not once was I informed by ee that my service would be degraded to such a terrible state that I can't even make calls sometimes. I want some compensation as this is completely unacceptable. The lack of communication from a communications company is hilarious. I cannot even contact support. webchat is always broken or offline, the report a problem page doesn't work, and making a call to support ends in randomly being disconnected when you are on hold after waiting for 40 minutes. oh and the check courage page doesn't recognize my postcode or find my location. nothing in your line of services works as it should.

Hi @InfinitePain,
I'm sorry to hear your postcode isn't recognised by our network status checker. Is it a recently built property?
I'm not aware of any current issues with our phone lines. Have you tried calling recently?
If you'd like to contact our messaging team, please select the help tab in the EE app.

No it's not a new build. My postcode is E14 3TQ. I have seen on this thread that there has been an ongoing issue in my area that pre-dates my contract so I would like to know why I was not warned about this when signing up for a contract first, secondly, I would like to know if my contract price can be reduced due to the sup-par service.
Thanks

As stated I cannot. The reception in my area is too poor and after 40 mins on hold I always get disconnected. Web chat is also down. There must be a way to get EE to call me?

Sorry we have no account access on the community. You can contact us from an alternative phone, please see our Contact us about your mobile phone (ee.co.uk) page for details.

I just got off the phone with a rep that said this post isnt real and there is no problem in my area. I live in E14 3TQ and more often than not I am reduced to 3g signal quality and cannot make or receive calls. I am also overcharged each month by ee adding a late payment to my direct debit. This is insane!!!!!!
