We will continue to monitor performance in the area.
Update: 07 November 2024
Our engineers have experienced a slight delay installing the transmission equipment for the mast to be integrated onto the network. Barring any further unforeseen delays, we expect the transmission to be installed by the beginning of December, and the mast to be on-air by the end of December.
We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 08 October 2024
Over the past few weeks, our engineers have found further work is needed before the mast can be integrated onto the network. We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 02 September 2024
Over the past month, our engineers have built the equipment needed for the new mast and are waiting for a meter to be installed to activate the mast onto the network. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the mast to be on-air by the end of September.
We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 19 July 2024
Over the past few months, our engineers have completed the legal negotiations with the council to start building the equipment before the roof work has been completed. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect to start building the equipment in August, once the build is complete, we can confirm an approximate on-air date.
We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 03 May 2024
Over the past month, we have been continuing legal negotiations with the council to start building the equipment before the roof work has been completed. We currently have no date for the roof work to start from the council, and the build start date will be delayed further. Once we have an outcome from the legal steps, and can start building the equipment, we will update this post.
Update: 27 March 2024
Over the past few weeks, the council have been made us aware the work needed on the roof has been further delayed. Barring any further unforeseen delays, the council expect the work to be completed by the end of June. To get the equipment built before the roof work is completed, our engineers are continuing with the legal negotiations to access the area and start building the equipment needed for the new mast.
We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 16 February 2024
Over the past few months, our engineers have started legal negotiations with the council to start building the equipment needed for the new mast before the roof work is completed. We have been made aware by the council the building work on the roof has been slightly delayed, barring any further unexpected delays the council expect the roof work to be completed by the end of March.
We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 22 December 2023
Our engineers have been working with the council to start building the equipment needed for the new mast. Our engineers are in legal negotiations to start building the equipment before the roof work is completed as previously approved. We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 26 October 2023
Over the past month, our engineers have had approval for the build to start alongside the ongoing roof work after submitting the required designs. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the build to start by the end of 2023. We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 15 September 2023
Over the past month our engineers have been working with the council to start building the equipment whilst the roof work is completed. To start the build we have found further designs will be required to complete the build safely alongside the ongoing roof work and have submitted these for approval. Pending a positive outcome from the amended designs we can start building the equipment needed for the new mast and confirm an approximate on-air date.
We will keep you updated on this post.
Update: 03 August 2023
Over the past few months, our engineers have had approval from the council to start building the equipment needed for the new mast before the remedial work on the roof is completed. Update: 02 March 2023
Over the past few weeks, our engineers have been unable to access the area to start building the equipment for the new mast. This is because the area is located on a rooftop and the council have advised remedial work needs to be competed on the roof before the build can start. Our engineers are in negotiations with the council to build the equipment before the remedial work is completed, as the work will be ongoing until the end of summer. Pending a positive outcome from the negotiations, we can start building the equipment needed for the new mast and restore service to the area within six-eight weeks.

Update: 07 October 2021
Over the past few months we have completed the surveys and submitted an application to legally acquire the land from the site provider. Our engineers are expected to begin installing the equipment needed for the new mast in the next few months.
Once the equipment is installed, we can integrate this onto the network. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the new mast to be on air by February 2022.
We’re aware of a signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in Walthamstow.
Our mast in the area had to be removed from the existing site in August 2020, as this was requested by the site provider. Our engineers located a new area for the equipment but, unfortunately, the landowner is redeveloping the area our equipment was going to be installed and this is no longer suitable for the mast.
Our engineers have located two new locations for the mast to be installed, and we are currently carrying out surveys on the site to make sure the area will be suitable for the equipment. Once all surveys are complete, we will begin steps to legally acquire the land from the site provider. Once all legal steps have been completed, we can start to build the equipment needed for the new mast and confirm an approximate installation date.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, you may be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection.
For information on who can use WiFi Calling and how to set up this service, please see our EE WiFi Calling: All you need to know, article.

I cannot wait until my ee contract runs out and I can change provider. Every time I try and get an Uber from where I live it works to connect in my flat and then when I leave it and go on the street there is no mobile connection. If I try and make a call outside my flat it doesn’t work. I called the customer service number over a year ago and they said that’s just the way it is in your area as we don’t have a technical point there anymore used to but not now. Rubbish customer service

What is the latest update on this. My eldery parents have been without internet access (which affects their landline and mobile phones too) since the beginning on July 2022. No one has offered any temporary solutions, which means they are struggling to communicate with their family and friends

Hi there @smedhi
Thanks for coming to the community.
The main post has been updated with the latest information.
If they have home broadband and a landline with us, this would not be affected by the mobile mast and I would suggest them giving us a call on 0800 079 8586 so this can be looked into.
Leanne.

Hi there,
Do you know if there is any compensation for customers regarding this. I (just like others) have been updating EE about this for months and we all keep receiving the same information. I have EE WiFi and phone contract and the internet is dreadful and doesn't work half the time. Only one person can be on the internet at a time, it's not very acceptable.

Hi @Shorvathova
Welcome to the community.
Have you tried restarting your phone. Is anyone else in the area having any problems?
You can check for a problem, and report one, on our coverage checker by popping in your postcode and hitting check status.

Deeply disappointing to hear that there are further delays on this site. I've had to get a Vodafone esim to guarantee a signal when I'm not at home on wifi. We'll all be moving when our very expensive contracts are up.

- 5G and Signal Issues since switching to ESIM! in Mobile Services
- Poor Mobile Data & Signals in London E2 Region & Elsewhere in Mobile Network discussions
- Loss of 5G coverage in NE4 9** in Mobile Network discussions
- Call cuts out every 5 mins in Mobile Services
- No 5G in area - reported twice, no joy. in Mobile Network discussions
