Once the amendments have been completed, we will submit these for approval to the landowner. Once this step is completed and planning has been approved, we can start building the equipment needed for the new mast and confirm an approximate on-air date.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 15 December 2022

For the first location, our engineers have found from the surveys conducted at the area that the timber support on the roof where the mast was due to be located will not be suitable for the equipment needed for the mast, and we will no longer be progressing this location.

Regarding the second location we have located as a backup for the first area, our engineers are completing redesigns for the area to strengthen the planning appeal to the landowner. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the amended designs to be submitted for the appeal by the beginning of next year. Pending a positive outcome, we can start legal proceedings to legally acquire the land from the site provider and start building the equipment needed for the mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 11 November 2022

Pending a positive outcome, we can start legal proceedings to legally acquire the land from the landowner and start building the equipment needed for the mast.

We will keep you updated on this post

Update: 27 August 2022

Over the past few weeks, our engineers have been working with the site provider to complete surveys at the first location. We have found further surveys are required to make sure the area will be suitable for the equipment, and we are working with the site provider to arrange a date to access the area and complete the surveys. Pending a positive outcome from the surveys, we can start legal proceedings to legally acquire the land from the site provider and start building the equipment needed for the new mast.

With regards to the second area we have located (as a back-up, in case of any unforeseen problems with the first location), we have been required to submit further site designs to support the planning appeal. We are working with the site provider to access the area and complete the designs. Once these are completed, we will submit these for approval. Pending a positive outcome, we can start legal proceedings to legally acquire the land from the landowner and start building the equipment needed for the mast.

Update: 22 June 2022

Over the past few months, our engineers have submitted legal proceedings to acquire the land. However, because the site provider is redeveloping the area, the legal request has been denied and the area will no longer be suitable for the equipment. Our engineers have located an alternative location and are working with the site provider to visit the area and complete surveys to make sure the land will be suitable for the equipment. Pending a positive outcome from the surveys, we can start legal proceedings to legally acquire the land from the landowner and start building the equipment needed for the mast.

Our engineers have located a second area and submitted planning permission a few months ago, this was rejected, and we have submitted an appeal to the decision. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the outcome to the appeal by the end of August. Pending a positive outcome, we can start legal proceedings to legally acquire the land from the landowner and start building the equipment needed for the mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 12 April 2022

Our engineers are currently awaiting a hearing date for the legal proceedings to take place. Pending a positive outcome, our engineers can arrange the removal of the obstruction and start building the equipment needed for the new mast.

Once these steps have been completed, we can confirm an approximate on-air date.

We will keep you updated on this post.

We are working with the council to arrange the removal and clear the area for the engineers to start building the equipment.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 11 October 2021

Our engineers have been working with the site provider for planning permission for the first location. The council planning application was rejected, and we are currently looking at designs for the area to submit a revised application.

For the second location we have been in negotiations with the Highways Agency for approval. The first application was rejected due to the design specifications and we have amended the designs and resubmitted the application. We expect to have a decision from the Highways Agency by the end of November.

We will keep you updated on this post.

We’re aware of a signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in Neasden, London Borough of Brent

Our mast in the area had to be removed from the existing site in August 2021, as requested by the site provider. Our engineers began looking for a replacement location as soon as we were made aware our equipment needed to be removed.

We have found two potential new locations for the mast; this is in case of any complications with either site. We are progressing with both areas to make sure they are suitable. The first location to be approved and all legal contracts agreed will be the area we install the mast.

We are in negotiations with the site provider to legally acquire the land for the first area. Once this is complete, we can carry out surveys on the site to make sure the this will be suitable for the equipment. Once all surveys are complete, we can start to build the equipment needed for the new mast and confirm an approximate installation date.

Our engineers have agreed a lease with the site provider for the second area, however, because of the location, the site needs to be approved by the Highways Agency. Once all assessments by the Highway Agency have been completed, we can start legal proceedings to acquire the land. Once the legal steps are complete, we can start to build the equipment needed and integrate the mast onto the network.  We expect the mast to be on air by the end of the year barring any unforeseen delays.

We will keep you updated on this post.

From 200Mbps to 5... I'm living in Hanger Lane and lost the 5G and 4G barely handles... £84 a month.... Is this a joke? You didn't knew before the mast will be moved?

So, when will this be fixed? I'm in Harlesden.  I'm in the situation where I can't make mobile phone calls inside my own house, as the network is so bad.  Not 5g, not 4g, but simple mobile phone calls do not work.  I can't dial, people say they can't hear me and I get drop outs constantly.

Hello,

Can you confirm if EE are still on track to build and activate the new mast by the end of September as advised in the latest update on this thread?

These works have been on going for a while now and is really affecting EE customers for phone calls, using data etc.

Thanks,

Adam
