Are you both on a monthly contract and is your son’s phone on your account?
I believe you mean data gifting. This you can only do if on monthly contracts and you are the account holder for both.
You just need to log into your account and you should be able to see gift data, where you will be able to share gift with him. I have just checked, this via the app, but you should also be able to do this by logging in via the web.
