@Aqualung : Are you on contract or PAYG?

It's only on PAYG you'd be buying data & it would last for 30 days or until it's exhausted.

On contract you'd have a fixed data allowance each month anyway altho' you could buy extra if you ran out.

Hi  XRaySpeX,

Thank you for your reply..  I am on sim only contract which i am happy with, however i bought a new phone

and set it up the best (to my knowledge ?)  the best i could.

After about 3 weeks i was getting warnings about "Data" ?  i thought, whats this.. Ive never had this ever before

turns out i was using "data" on my phone going on facebook every day, also i have a security camera outside that

also used "data"?    apparently unknown to my knowledge my phone was switched "On" to "Data" EE told me to turn

it off and switch it to Wifi ... problem is i cant get bugger all now ?

So i suppose i have to buy more data.. looking on EEs website at the data chart it shows the costs and  it shows

25 days  ??  whats that about ?

Thanks

There is no 25 days in EE's scheme of things as far as I know. Show us where it says so.

What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?

Hi @Aqualung

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having.

It sounds like you might not be connected to your WiFi connection. Do you know how to find the password for your home WiFi?

Rach

Hi @Aqualung,

Do you have other devices at home connected to your home broadband/Wi-Fi and are they working OK?

What type of phone is it you are using and have you turned it off and on since connecting to the Wi-Fi to see if there is any difference?

Alex

Hi Alex

I have my desk top pc working ok, also have my TV on to youtube working thats it nothing else..

Ive tried completely shutting down my phone, and on again but nothings changed ?

The phone is brand new, a Galaxy A54-5G

Thanks for the information in your response @Aqualung

If on your phone you go to the options Settings> Connections> Wi-Fi, then on your current Wi-Fi, is it showing the message Connected under your home Wi-Fi name or is it showing anything else like Connected No internet?

If on this page you click the Cog button to the right of your home Wi-Fi name, then click the Forget button in the top right. That will reset your connection to the home network and you will then need to then tap to re-join the network and enter your Wi-Fi password again on the phone and see if you can connect to the internet through the Wi-Fi then.

Also just regarding your data, were you getting text messages from us about the data, or were you being warned by notifications on your phone? Have you text AL to 150 from your mobile to confirm how much you have left or if you have run out?

Alex

Have you done something ? ?

For days my phones been saying "Connected but no internet" but i just checked again since your reply and

now its states "Connected" ?        Thats Strange ?

I had to make sure and tried it out on Facebook and everything was working ok.. i then checked my Data button

and yes it was still "off"  ?

Don't know what you done Alex but i Thank You !
