Data remaining

Hi Team,

I have a 4GEE Wifi Mini that is currently working except I cannot see how much data I have left.

I login to the device (192.168.1.1) and when I click on the check data remaining button it takes me to a page that tells me:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access this resource.

I've tried logging in to my EE account from my laptop and it takes me to the front page and congratulates me on logging out. When I click on the login button it again congratulates me on logging out.

If I try through the EE app on my iPhone I can login OK but it tells me that "Something went wrong and we cannot show you your remaining data at the moment. We're sorry about this. Please try again in a few minutes"

Any thoughts? Rob

I've been trying this for the past 24 hours with the same message.

Hi @robt123

I would suggest speaking to our Mobile Care team. This could be a specific problem with your account that they can look into.

Look at http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status when not connected to WiFi to see data & credit status.. Make sure you use HTTP:, not HTTPS: & do it under IE, FF or Samsung Internet not Chrome.

Thanks for your response XRaySpeX. However it seems a remarkably complicated way of finding out something as simple as "how much data do I have left". Also I can't actually use that solution as it's a 4GEE Wifi Mini which is just a small box and I have to connect to it via WiFi with either my laptop or iPhone. I also don't use any of those browsers, I have Safari (Apple default), Brave and DuckDuckGo all of which work in the "normal" world so why does EE require very specific browsers?

Finally, the easiest way for me to access the info I want should surely be the phone app which even after several updates since I first posted still fails to show my remaining data although it does recognise I have a 120GB addon.

Sorry, @robt123 , I forgot you were coming from a mobile router & I gave the instructions for a mobile phone. Of course you need to go to the link I gave from a device connected to the mobile router by WiFi.

These instructions, admittedly complex, are for a workaround to a bug currently in EE systems but at least they should work. Any browser that does not force HTTPS: will do but I can only give the ones I'm aware of.
