I've been on the same contact for several years and frequently use just 3-4 GB of my 40GB data allowance each month.
This month, apparently I've used 37 GB in the first 2 weeks. There nothing to show me how, when or where I've used this extra data.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @johnbacon2
Just to add to the advice you've been given, you can check where you have used your data in your mobile device settings.
On Android phones, for example a Samsung, you'll find this in Settings > Connections > Data usage.
Just be sure to set the "Bill Cycle and Data warning" to match your allowance refresh date and data amount.
You'll be able to view the historical recent 5 months, too.
For Apple it's Settings > Cellular (or Network) > Cellular Data Usage.

Hi @johnbacon2
Welcome to the EE Community and thanks for getting in touch.
I'd recommend giving us a call so one of our billing guides can take a look a bit deeper into this for you.

Your phone should show you under Data Usage what you've used data for.
