I have an odd one that I am hoping someone is able to assist with.
I have an EE PAYG data sim inserted into a Huawei B818 router that works perfectly. I am able to access sites I manage via VPN perfectly fine and the only issue is the limited data.
I took out a PAYM unlimited deal and expected it to work the same as the PAYG sim. I was very mistaken.
The 1st issue was the connection itself. It was hit and miss and if I tried to connect to speedtest, it took an age. Speaking with tech support I was advised that all is fine with the network and it must be an issue with my equipment. I tried to explain that the same equipment with a PAYG sim works perfectly so I cannot see how my equipment would be the issue. The tech support said that I could look at changing the sim, however, he dounted it was the issue. I have changed the sim and he was 100% correct, it made no difference.
I then done a search on google and found that if I add an APN and select IPV4 only it works fine with the exception of being able to connect to a site via VPN (PPTP protocol).
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may fix this please?

I then took out an EE business sim only with unlimited data and I am having a mare.

What happens when you try to use VPN?

PPTP VPN is not supported by EE unlike other ISP 4/5G does Other VPNs that use TCP/UDP should work.
