Are you going to Steam or is Steam coming to you?

Is it you or Stream that initiates the transaction?

I dont know what XRaySpeX is talking about either. If I press the Steam Shortcut I presume he means I initiated...who knows
I also got my EE 4G Mobile Router recently, and the internet is almost perfect except for Steam
It used to say Steam is in Offline mode and needs to be online mode, but if the steam Launcher fails to update itself then to make that switch is impossible.
So I called a Chillblast engineer out to my home and he replaced the Motherboard, Memory and Processor and Reloaded Windows 11 Home, but still STEAM refuses to load but with a different message " Steam needs to be online to update....check network connection etc etc
Well my Network is fine, that I know, but something is stopping the steam client update. It did work once, but after that never again and the PC has been taken away for examination. This Old PC used to run STEAM with no problems, but surprisingly to me, it no longer can connect via the new EE HUB (never had these problems with the wired BT hub that I used to have
I don't think it is my new PC, I think it is either Windows Defender or the EE Hub itself.
Windows defender is set to default, I never did have to allow Steam etc, and the EE HUB is reset as well, I tried allowing Steam through the firewall but it made no difference, and I also went though the Painful Business of allowing TCP and UDP ports as specified in STEAM Support (why they don't do a script?), who are now no longer interested..."Contact your local PC repair shop" Jesus H !!!
I know there is a simple answer to this problem but after Years of working in IT I am beaten. The only point of Failure MUST be the Mobile 4G Hub....and yes I have power cycled it and logged into it. Is this an EE Problem perhaps?

I had the same problem with Steam. It seems to only work of you change the Hub settings to IPv4. You do this by creating another set with all the same settings, but use IPv4 instead of IPv4V6 (default). Then set the new one as default. It will disconnect then reconnect as IPv4. Seems you have to label the one you want to use "default" or it never uses it.
I would have used this all the time, but Google then thinks I am a bot and makes me do the Capture pictures each time. Anyone have a solution to this ? Interesting that on IPv4V6 download is ca. 70Mbs, but IPv4 >150Mbs.
Seems so much hassle compared to my old ADSL router which just worked. Usual story, new tech has more bugs than the old stuff (again).

My TV (Panasonic) won't connect to TV CatchUp services (i.e. iPlayer etc) via my new 4G Smart Hub on IPv4V6, but does work on IPv4.

I've got similar problem but with other devices, the HIVE hub. I create a new profile under with IPV4, not IPV4V6 and it works now. Worth to get a shot.
