Hello,
I have an EE SIM from work for the past couple of years, and being happy with the data speeds I get on it, I signed up for a pay monthly EE unlimited data SIM today (£35 paym / 100MBps cap) to use for home broadband.
Whenever my work (bill pay) EE sim is in my router, I get carrier aggregation and much better speeds as a result. Once I put the new SIM I got today in, it connects right away (B3) but there's no aggregation. I've gone back and fourth switching the SIM in the device about 10 times and my work SIM constantly does aggregation and the new SIM I got today never does. I'm not changing any settings when I swap SIMs - the only difference is the SIM itself.
Anyone have any idea why my new SIM isn't using carrier aggregation? Do I need to change to a different plan or are there any options that I need to select on my new EE account that would enable me to turn on carrier aggregation for the new SIM?
Thanks!
